WunderKids ("we", "us") is a parental-management app that helps a parent turn their child's screen time into learning time. On iPhone it uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) technology; on Android it uses an Android accessibility service, described below. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it's protected. It covers the WunderKids apps for iPhone and Android.
Who sets this up
WunderKids is set up by a parent or guardian, who signs in with their own Apple or Google account. The child does not create an account, sign in, or provide information directly to us — everything about the child (their name or nickname, their age or birth year, and their school year) is entered by the parent, who controls and can edit or delete it at any time.
What we collect

We do not collect your phone number, location, contacts, browsing history, health, financial, or other sensitive information, and we never receive the list of apps installed on your child's phone. We have no third-party advertising SDKs and do not sell or share data for advertising.
On Android: the accessibility service and device administrator
On an Android child's phone, WunderKids uses an Android accessibility service. It looks at which app is open, so it can show a short learning challenge before the apps you choose, and at Settings, app-store and home screens, only to spot an attempt to remove WunderKids or switch it off. It never reads messages, typing, passwords, websites or anything else on screen. Nothing the service sees is stored or leaves the phone, and the list of apps on the phone stays on the phone. Before the service is switched on, the app shows the parent exactly this and asks for their agreement; it does nothing until the parent has agreed.
WunderKids also asks to be a device administrator, only so a child can't force-stop or remove it. It uses no administrator powers — it cannot lock or erase the phone or set password or camera rules — and it reads and sends nothing. A parent can turn it off at any time in WunderKids' grown-up settings, behind the PIN.
Only learning results and that phone's WunderKids settings and status, listed above, go to the parent app you pair with.
Payments
Subscriptions are billed and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store, or by Google through Google Play — whichever store you subscribe in. We never see or store your card details. The store shares only your subscription status (active, trial, cancelled) with our subscription provider, RevenueCat, which passes it to us.
Where your data lives, and who helps us
Data is stored with our backend provider (Supabase) in the EU. Any future analytics we add to the app will also run on EU infrastructure, with no session recording and no data shared with advertisers.
This website counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics: which page was opened, which site linked to it, the country and the kind of device. It uses no cookies and stores nothing that identifies you, and the personal parts of invite and referral links are removed before anything is counted.
A few service providers process data on our behalf, only to run WunderKids, and some of them are outside the EU: RevenueCat (subscription status), our email provider Resend (the progress and account emails), Apple and Google (sign-in, notifications to your iPhone, and payments). They may not use your data for anything else.
Our how-to videos are hosted on YouTube. On wunder.kids/guides they play in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and nothing loads from YouTube until you press play.
Children's privacy
WunderKids is a tool for parents, not a service marketed to or signed up for by children. A child never creates an account, provides an email address, or interacts with anyone outside their own family. The limited information about a child described above is provided by the parent and stays under the parent's control — viewable, editable, and deletable from the app or by contacting us.
The family board is off unless you turn it on, child by child. When it is on, that child's phone shows the first name, stars and days practised this week of each of your children (just their own week against their best week for an only child). It stays inside your family: no other family ever sees it.
Deleting your WunderKids account
In the app: on your own phone, open WunderKids, go to the parent dashboard and tap Delete my account, then confirm. This works the same way in the iPhone and Android apps.
Without the app: email support@wunder.kids from the email address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my WunderKids account". We'll confirm it's your account and delete it within 30 days.
Either way, we delete your account and sign-in, every child profile, all progress and history, and every paired phone, in one step. A child phone that was paired stops being protected and returns to its start screen the next time it's opened. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.
What we keep: a record that an account was deleted and how many child profiles it had, with no name or email; and cost records of our own services that no longer point to anyone. Apple, Google and RevenueCat keep their own records of any purchases, under their own policies.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time, as described above. For a copy of your family's data, or any other request, contact us at support@wunder.kids.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially — for example if we add optional crash-reporting or analytics tools — we'll update this page and change the date above.
