1. Who this is for

WunderKids is a parental-management app. It must be set up by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years old, signing in with their own Apple or Google account. By using WunderKids you confirm you are that parent or guardian, or have the authority to manage the device in question.

2. What WunderKids does

WunderKids lets you gate chosen apps on your child's phone behind a short learning challenge. On iPhone it uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) technology. On Android it uses an Android accessibility service, which the app asks for your agreement to before it is switched on, and asks to be a device administrator only so a child can't force-stop or remove it. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what each of these does and doesn't do.

WunderKids is an additional layer on top of the phone's own controls — it does not replace or override any limits you've set directly in Apple's Screen Time settings or in Google's parental controls.

3. Devices

WunderKids runs on an iPhone with iOS 16 or later, and on an Android phone with Android 8.0 or later. Pairing your child's phone with yours, and keeping your settings and their progress in step, needs an internet connection.

4. Subscription & billing

WunderKids Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual), bought through the App Store on iPhone or through Google Play on Android. New subscribers get a 14-day free trial where the store offers one; the app shows the price and any trial, as the store reports them, before you subscribe. Your subscription is billed, managed and cancelled in the store you bought it in.

App Store: payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Google Play: payment is charged to the payment method on your Google account. Your subscription automatically renews until you cancel it. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in the Play Store app → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. We don't provide refunds directly — refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, and refunds for Google Play purchases follow Google Play's refund policy. Deleting your WunderKids account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in the store as well.

5. Acceptable use

Use WunderKids only for your own family, on a child's phone you are the parent or guardian of. Don't attempt to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app's protections, or use it in a way that could harm another person or violate their rights.

6. No guarantee of outcomes

WunderKids is an educational and screen-time tool, not a substitute for professional educational, medical, or psychological advice. We don't guarantee specific learning outcomes or screen-time results, and we're not responsible for how a family chooses to use the app.

7. Availability

WunderKids relies on Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls APIs on iPhone, and on Android's accessibility and device administrator features on Android. These are outside our control, and Apple, Google or a phone's maker can change how they work. We aim for high reliability but can't guarantee the service will always be available or free of errors.

8. Termination

You may stop using WunderKids and cancel your subscription at any time, and you can delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or terminate access for use that violates these terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WunderKids and its operators aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the date above when we do; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
